Title

UTILIZATION OF AGRO INDUSTRIAL WASTE IN LIGHT WEIGHT GREEN CONCRETE

Abstract

The aim of this comparative investigation is to probe various characteristic property of lightweight green concrete with separate replacement level for cement with marble waste powder quarry dust with fine aggregate while using an optimum percentage of Rice husk ash. The standard cube of (150X 150 X150mm), cylinder of (150x300mm) and the prism beam of (100x100x500mm) have been casted with M50 grade mix of concrete. While making water cement ratio constant 0.35, then comparison of regular concrete with lightweight green concrete with different amount of partial replacement of cement viz, 0%,5%, 10%,15 and 20% and quarry dust 0%, 5%, 10% and 15% which was used to replace the fine aggregate at 0% , 5% ,10% and 15 % have been done. The compressive strength at 7, 14, 28 days and split tensile and flexural strength of 28 days has been reported in this paper. The results of the characteristics property show inspiring and motivating result. The optimum replacement of marble and quarry dust was found to be 10 and 5 percent for the entire three characteristics test. Overall view the research is to provide sustainable and environmental friendly concrete for the construction work.
